🎯 Skill Spotlight: Research the Role and Employer
One of the easiest ways to stand out in applications is by showing that you understand the role and the organisation. Many students apply without doing much research, which can make applications feel generic.
Take a few minutes to look at the company website, recent projects, values or clients. Think about why the role interests you and how your skills connect to what they do. You can also look at LinkedIn to understand the team or career paths.
Using this insight in your CV, cover letter or application answers helps you come across as more motivated, informed and focused. It shows employers that you are genuinely interested, not just applying widely.
A small amount of research can make a big difference and help turn a good application into a strong one.
