Welcome to the latest edition of Top Jobs. Summer is a great time to get ahead with your career planning, whether you’re looking for an internship, placement, graduate role or simply exploring what’s out there. While many students take a break from job searching at this time of year, new opportunities continue to be advertised and competition can be lower for those who stay active.

Alongside this fortnight’s selection of roles, don’t forget to explore opportunities independently through Career Hub, LinkedIn, Indeed, HigherIn and employer websites. Setting up alerts and regularly checking these platforms can help you discover opportunities that match your interests and career goals.

Read on to explore this week’s opportunities and our latest Skill Spotlight.

Good luck with your applications. Whether you are looking for an internship, placement, graduate role or postgraduate study, every opportunity helps you build skills, gain experience and prepare for your future career.

🎯 Skill Spotlight: Build and Use Your Network

Many opportunities are found through people as well as job boards. Networking does not mean asking strangers for jobs. It means building professional connections, learning about different career paths and finding out about opportunities before they are widely advertised.

Start small. Connect with employers on LinkedIn, follow organisations that interest you and engage with alumni or employees in roles you’d aspire to do. You can also speak to placement students and recent graduates to learn more about sectors and roles.

The more you understand about an industry, the easier it becomes to identify opportunities and make stronger applications. Building your network now can open doors later, even if you are not currently applying for jobs.
