Welcome to the third edition of Top Job. Alongside this curated shortlist of roles, we really encourage you to use Career Hub and search for roles that genuinely match your interests, strengths and career goals.

It’s also a good idea to use multiple search platforms such as HigherIn, LinkedIn, Indeed, and employer or sector websites. Don’t forget in most cases you can save your searches, follow employers and set up email alerts or dashboards so new opportunities come to you automatically. Using these tools alongside Top Jobs will help you stay organised, spot roles early and build momentum in your job search.

Spotlight: Disney Academic Exchange Program (2027–28)

This is one of the first placement opportunities advertised for the 2027–28 academic year, meaning if you’re currently a first‑year student you can apply now for a placement at the end of second year.

The Disney Academic Exchange Program offers paid work experience (placement) at Walt Disney World Resort, Florida, alongside structured learning and skills development.

It’s a great option if you’re looking for international experience, customer‑focused roles and standout employability skills in a global organisation. Full details and how to apply are available here:

🎯 Spotlight: Civil Service Fast Stream – Find Out More

Ever thought about applying to the Civil Service Fast Stream (the main graduate entry route into the Civil Service) but assumed it wasn’t for you, or just didn’t know much about it? This upcoming session is a great chance to explore what the Fast Stream actually offers and whether it could fit your interests and ambitions.

Applications open later this year, so this is an early opportunity to get ahead. Manchester Met works in partnership with the FDA Trade Union (who represent Fast Streamers) and the Cabinet Office (who run the Fast Stream) through the FDA Public Sector Development and Mentoring Scheme (PSDMS). The scheme offers free mentoring from current Fast Streamers, plus support as you prepare and apply. To receive the session link, email neil@fda.org.uk.
