Get Involved – International Buddy Scheme

We have recently launched an International Buddy Scheme for new international students who are joining us in MIBT.

As a new international student, you will be matched with an existing student (a ‘peer buddy’), based on your interests and hobbies, who will help you to settle into life in the UK. Based on numbers, we may include groups of 3 (two new students will be matched with one peer buddy).

All participants will receive Rise points upon completion of the scheme and you will also be invited to take part in a competition for the chance to win a prize (more details can be found on the International Buddy Scheme’s Rise page).

How can you get involved?

If you are a January starter, applications to become a ‘peer buddy’ have already closed.

If you are a new international student, you can express your interest in being matched with a peer buddy by completing this form. The deadline for applications has been extended and applications will now close on Friday 8th November.

Do I have to be an international student to join the scheme?

No. The scheme is aimed at international students but anyone is welcome to join!

Please note that spaces are limited and will be offered on a first come, first serve basis.
