We are excited to announce GoGlobal Week 6, which will take place from 2nd to 6th March! This premier event is part of our GoGlobal initiative, which is dedicated to fostering a vibrant global community at Manchester Metropolitan University and creating a true sense of belonging for all students.
What to Expect: GoGlobal Week is packed with diverse activities designed to offer international exposure and learning opportunities. Whether on-campus, off-campus, online, or in hybrid formats, you’ll have the chance to craft your own inclusive and personalised international experience. You can explore Rise now to check out the activities available so far.
Highlights from GoGlobal week 6 2025:
- Attendance: We saw a fantastic turnout with 5,000 attendees across all events, showcasing the strong interest from our student body – at all levels of study.
- Diversity: Our balanced participation included home students and international students, emphasising our commitment to cross-cultural interactions and understanding.
- Building your CV: Students gained many opportunities that added value to their CV. We gave Rise points, with many gaining an international badge for their participation in this week alone.
Join us in celebrating the rich tapestry of cultures and perspectives that make our University special. Whether you’re a home or international student, this week is designed to enhance your educational experience and help you build connections that last a lifetime.
Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to expand your horizons and engage with fellow students. Get ready for GoGlobal Week 6!
What you need to know now:
- International students on VISAs: must attend a minimum of four events (three on campus) to record attendance that week.
- Other funded GoGlobal overseas opportunities: With a focus on inclusivity, we’ve linked GoGlobal Week to our GoGlobal mobility opportunities, making attendance a key criterion for applications. These include spring and summer schools.
- Foundation and first-year students need to build up a minimum of four attended events during GoGlobal week 6, in addition to other criteria, to apply for a GoGlobal spring school when they are in year 2.
- Year two students, if you are planning on applying for a funded GoGlobal Summer school this year, must attend a minimum of four events during GoGlobal week 6.
- All students: If you want to apply for our GoGlobal mobility fund to help you with your individual international experience, you must attend a minimum of four events during GoGlobal week 6
Best regards,
