End of Year Celebration Event (September 2024 cohort) – Tuesday, 8 April 2025

Thank you to everyone who joined us last week for the End of Year Celebration! It was fantastic to see so many of you from the September 2024 cohort (as well as some of you from January 2025) come together with staff and peers to celebrate everything you’ve achieved over the past academic year.

We hope you enjoyed the games, the Manchester Met-themed quiz, and of course, the Crazy Pedro’s pizza! We also loved seeing you make the most of the photobooth — hopefully, you’ve got some fun photos to keep as memories of your time as a student with us here in MIBT.

The highlight of the afternoon was definitely the awards ceremony, where one student from each programme received a Programme Leader Award—nominated in recognition of their hard work and contributions throughout the year. We also celebrated one student’s impressive commitment to their studies with a special Year Tutor award for attendance—an incredible 96%!

Once again, a huge congratulations to all of our award winners:

  • MSc Marketing – Mohamed Taha Ohlale
  • MSc Digital Marketing Communications – Mackenzie Hill
  • MSc Creative Advertising Strategy – Ellen Hanratty
  • MSc International Marketing Management – Shruti
  • MSc International Tourism and Hospitality Management – Aadish Jain
  • MSc International Business Management – Aman Thapa
  • MSc Market and Research Analytics – Quoc Nguyen
  • Highest Attendance and Year Tutor Award – Tenzing Bhutia

Although timetabled teaching has now come to an end, remember that we’re still here to help throughout the summer. As you begin working on your upcoming assignments, remember that there’s a wide range of support available to you as a student at Manchester Met — don’t hesitate to make the most of it. Specifically, we’ve connected with Studiosity, an external online service, accessed via Moodle.

Studiosity will review your draft work for coursework-style assessments and give you quick feedback about how to improve your academic writing style. This is provided in addition to the academic study skills support offered as part of your course and from the Learner Development team.

This was our second year running this celebration for postgraduate students, and we’re so glad we got to share it with you. Best of luck as you wrap up your taught modules and head into your applied research projects this summer—we can’t wait to see what you accomplish next!
