Feeling ghosted by recruiters or overwhelmed by placement deadlines? Are you starting
to feel tired of the ‘process’ and looking for inspiration to stay positive and keep going?

Securing a placement is a marathon, not a sprint and at this key time of year you might
be feeling weary.

Join the Placements Team for this informal session with brunch provided, where you’ll learn how to turn setbacks into comebacks and keep progressing with your placement goals.

What we’ll cover:

• Strategies for Success: Eleanor Walker, Placement Engagement Coordinator, will
share tips on how to use feedback to improve your applications; examples of
turning negatives into job offers; ways to build resilience in the application
process; highlight the support available to help you reach placement success.

• Real-life examples: Learn how others have turned setbacks and rejections into
placement offers.

• Questions and answers: Discuss your experiences with the Placements Team
and other students, share feedback, and explore strategies to maintain
momentum.

• Networking: Connect with the Placements Team and MIBT staff in a friendly
atmosphere.

• Pastries and hot and cold drinks available to all attendees!

Join us for this opportunity to tackle those placement fears and renew your tactics
to stay motivated after the winter break.
