The power of shared stories – my international student experience

Today, I had the opportunity to film a video at The Manchester Metropolitan University where I shared my experience as an international postgraduate student.

This journey has been an incredible experience, and I’m thrilled to reflect on how much I’ve grown during this time.

I emphasised the importance of pushing our boundaries. Challenges often make us doubt our abilities or our capacity to achieve our dreams. However, it’s all about building confidence and believing in ourselves, no matter what our area of interest might be.

Throughout my life, I’ve met many immigrants, especially from Latin America, but I’ve never experienced being one myself—until now. It’s truly inspiring to meet and collaborate with peers from all over the world, each with unique backgrounds, goals, and perspectives.

This experience has not only broadened my horizons but also reinforced the value of diversity and the power of shared stories. It’s a reminder that stepping out of our comfort zone is where the greatest growth happens!

I’m grateful for this opportunity and excited to continue building connections, learning, and embracing the challenges that come my way.
