Christmas is one of the best times of year – partly due to the frenzy of adverts that fill our social media feeds. I am a proudly opinionated person who knows exactly the type of advertisements and communications I like and most importantly dislike. So, the Christmas ad season is perfect for me!

Stuart Grainger hosted this festive event on Tuesday evening, bringing creative students and professionals together to be our most critical selves openly. I loved this event, as I was introduced to some Christmas adverts I have not yet seen. For example, I was shown the Vodafone advertisement, showcasing their 40-year-long industry presence. It was a heart-warming and sentimental advert demonstrating exactly what the festive season means to the British public.

Controversy and friendly disagreement were characteristics of the night, and it’s safe to say I will be going next year!
