Class of 2024 Advertising and Brand Communications graduate Jessica Whittaker was crowned the University Student of the Year at The MPA – Manchester Publicity Association Inspiration Awards hosted at The Midland Hotel this week. Over 300 people from the Manchester creative sector came together to recognise the amazing talent across Manchester.

Jess, who graduated with first class honours and is now an Account Executive at prestigious agency Havas Lynx said “It was a great night of celebration and I loved being able to learn more about the amazing creative campaigns that come from incredible Manchester based agencies”.

Manchester Met alumni Fliss Jones Mobsta Ltd – Certified B Corp® 2023 Rising Star and now an MPA judge, presented the award.

It was a fantastic night for #TeamMIBT and Manchester Metropolitan University as all the nominees in this category were students or alumni – many congratulations to Lauren Hammond & Navya Bhupathiraju on reaching the shortlist. Sailor Parsons former MSC Creative Advertising Strategy student now at Republic of Media won with their team for Best Place to Work.

Jordan Price and Tahlia Cave who are Small City Marketing and alumni were also in attendance in what was a great night for the department and Manchester Met.
