Two+Two is a student competition, with 160 students from institutions all over the North having one day to solve a live brief in teams (from different Uni’s, so they work with people they’ve never met before), mentored by 45 industry professionals.

11 Msc Creative Advertising Strategy (CAS) and 11 BA(Hons) Advertising and Brand Communications (ABC) students entered this year, a big increase on previous years … we certainly made an impression from the get-go.

The brief was tough – produce a campaign to articulate the benefits provided by Blockchain and Crypto technologies to the wider public, for headline sponsor Coinbase.

As I toured the workshop rooms, MIBT students were always engaged, active participants in the discussions with teammates and mentors, all did a great job.

In the end, 7 teams were shortlisted, of which 5 contained MIBT students, a great achievement out of around 45 groups. Of those, we had representatives in both Joint 3rd place teams (Indi, CAS and Emily, ABC) and the winning team (Jess, ABC)!

Two+Two is always a great (if long!) day and was all the better for seeing all our students engage, thrive, create and represent us in a way of which we can all be very proud. Having such great representation across the winning teams just capped it all off.
