Are you a first year undergraduate student within the Faculty of Business and Law? Do you have BTEC qualifications? We would like to hear from you!
We are conducting research on the experiences of students with BTEC qualifications within their first year of university. We would like to hear your views and experiences of university, and how this may be influenced by previous experiences in education.
You will be invited to participate in three stages:
- A questionnaire – This will cover topics such as your educational history and expectations of university
- A diary – You will be asked to add reflective entries on a Padlet about your experiences of university, thinking about how your previous education influences your experience, your strengths, areas you want to develop, and your experiences of support from tutors and services. You can add as little or as much as you like. This will be taken over the course of five months.
- An interview – You will be invited to a final interview to reflect on your diary entries and discuss your wider educational experiences. This will last up to an hour, and will be audio recorded. It is likely this will be held online.
As your time and experiences are valuable, you will be awarded a £25 Love2Shop high street voucher for your time.
In addition, this is an excellent opportunity to provide valuable insights into your lived experience, and reshape our support systems, participating in positive change.
