Student Ambassadors
Student Ambassadors are mostly required for front of house duties at University recruitment events, such as Open Days and Visit Days. Most of the on-campus recruitment events are on Wednesdays and Saturdays, therefore you will typically need to be available on these days. The role can also include assisting with office duties (such as mail-outs) to support during the recruitment cycle and giving advice and guidance during the Clearing process. There will also be opportunities for working via digital platforms, where necessary.
Outreach Ambassadors
Outreach Ambassadors support the R&A and WP teams to represent the University at external and on-campus events, including the delivery of a range of activities in schools and colleges, on-campus activities, and other external activities (such as UCAS exhibitions). All our work is designed to improve awareness of opportunities at the University and safeguard access to higher education for all. The Recruitment aspect of this role focuses on encouraging prospective students in school years 12-13 to choose the University for their higher education; the Widening Participation aspect aims to increase awareness of higher education, and improve skills for higher education, among young people in school years 6-13. Most activities occur on an ad hoc basis, giving you many opportunities to work on different dates and at different times. There will also be opportunities for working via digital platforms, where necessary.
