Student Voice – Become a Course Rep

Do you want to be the Student Voice for your course? Do you want to develop new skills?
As a Course Rep, you’ll be representing students on your course and making sure that their voices are heard throughout the University. You will also meet other students across different courses, develop key employability skills, attend various meetings and improve the academic provision at Manchester Met.
If you are interested please contact Jenny at J.Warburton@mmu.ac.uk and register with the Union at https://www.theunionmmu.org/course-reps Once registered you will be invited to the training through the Union.
Town Hall meetings: ‘Let’s Talk: Your Course, Your Community’

Join us every week online during term time for a ‘Let’s Talk: Your Course, Your Community’ to talk about your course and your community. Whether it’s to;
- IGNITE Conversations:
- Chat informally with key members of the programme team!
- Tell us what’s working well or have an idea on how things could be improved, we want to hear about it – the good, the bad and the ugly!
- ENGAGE with employability opportunities:
- Find out more about initiatives that can enhance your employability skills!
- LAUNCH getting ready for your future:
- Engage with opportunities to help you stand out from the crowd!
- Listening to tips for your future career
We are proud of our partnership with students and believe that working together is the best way to ensure that students can fulfil their potential and make the most of their time at university.
The time you take to share your views and opinions is hugely appreciated and your feedback will be used to make improvements to all aspects of the student experience.
Student Societies
NEW! Marketing Student Society
In September, we are looking at setting up a new student Marketing Society that will be predominantly run by students, although will have the support of the Student Union, Year Tutors and SEO to assist in initially setting this up.
If you are interested, please contact Jenny at J.Warburton@mmu.ac.uk
Tourism and Travel Student Society
This is an existing student society but due to the pandemic was put on hold for the unforeseeable future. As restrictions have recently been lifted, we would like to resurrect the society and now need a new committee and new members to join.
If you are interested, please contact Jenny at J.Warburton@mmu.ac.uk
